It seems I've always struggled with trying
to wrap my head around the concept of time. Science says that nothing is
constant. Least of all time. These things speed up and slow down
depending on the gravity of it all. And I wonder if there is a place I
can go where time has slowed to a point where I can finally take it all
in. Maybe there's a line where I can stand and see the birth of my
father and the death of my mother at the same time. There is only one
thing I can say with any kind of certainty...
I want to be there at the beginning or at the end
'cause any other moment happens too soon
I want to be carving my hellos into walls of caves
or scratching goodbyes in the dust on the moon
'cause if I have to wait for something to happen
I will surely be gone before it arrives
off in search of some kind of aimless adventure
or just desperately trying to kill some time
